Château de Chambiers

Château de Chambiers is an 18th-century château set within a 40-hectare park on the edge of a 3,000-hectare forest in Anjou. It opened as a guest house in 2001 and operates as a family-run bed and breakfast.

Today its 7 rooms total include 5 individually decorated rooms plus an apartment within the château, some with marble floors, fireplaces, and park views, and the Pavillon de France, a separate suite in the estate's historic entrance pavilion, with a living room, fireplace, kitchenette, and four-poster bed upstairs.

The château's position on the edge of a 3,000-hectare forest gives guests staying at Chambiers access to a genuinely vast natural setting for hiking, cycling, or horseback riding, well beyond the estate's own 40-hectare park.

The Pavillon de France's role as the estate's historic entrance pavilion, rather than a modern addition, means it carries its own architectural history distinct from — but contemporary with — the main 18th-century château.

The property's continuous family-run operation since 2001 gives Chambiers a personal, long-established bed-and-breakfast character.
