The palace at Bałoszyce stands on an estate that, by one account, passed in the early 16th century to Georg von Polentz, bishop of Pomesania, who built a palace there in the first half of the 17th century; sources differ on the early owners. In the second half of the 17th century the estate came to the von Brünneck family, who bred sheep there.

In 1850 Magnus von Brünneck rebuilt the residence in the neo-Gothic style, with a silhouette said to be modelled on Babelsberg Palace in Potsdam. The last owner, Manfred von Brünneck, left in 1945, fleeing the Soviet army.

After the war the building held flats, and after a renovation in the 1970s it housed the offices of a state breeding centre; in the early 1990s the Agricultural Property Agency leased it for a hotel. In 2002 the palace and its grounds were sold at auction to private owners, who restored it with the supervision of heritage conservators, and it operates today as a hotel in a park, with free parking and breakfast included on the rate seen.
