Sieniawa Palace began as a residence of the Sieniawski family in the second half of the 17th century — sources differ on the exact founding date — surrounded at the time with earthen fortifications. Italian artists later worked on the residence for Elżbieta and Adam Sieniawski, giving the estate an artistic standing befitting one of the leading families of the region.
The Czartoryski family acquired the property in 1731 and had it remodelled in the Classical style in 1763. After the fall of the November Uprising and the confiscation of the family's Puławy estate, Sieniawa became their main residence, and the palace entered its most significant period as a cultural and intellectual centre of south-eastern Poland, drawing artists such as Juliusz Kossak. Bolesław Podczaszyński carried out a further reconstruction in 1881–1883, adding Neo-Baroque features to the building.
The palace was ravaged during the First World War and rebuilt only in the second half of the 20th century. An 18th-century geometric garden survives at the front of the building, and the palace now operates as a hotel.
