Château de Labro

Château de Labro is a 16th-century building, though some sources place its origins in the 15th century, just 6 km from Rodez in Aveyron, Occitanie. The château and its predecessors have a long history that reached its peak in the 16th century. In 2001, current owners Jean and Nizou Rouquet purchased the château and completed a notable restoration blending modernity with the preservation of its historic character.

Today its 14-15 rooms sit within the château itself, furnished classically with private bathrooms (some with hydromassage tubs), alongside a separate apartment and a luxury tree-house installed in one of the estate's centuries-old oaks.

The château's documented peak in the 16th century, followed by a long history under its predecessors, gives Labro a lineage extending well before the current owners' 2001 restoration.

The Rouquets' 2001 acquisition and subsequent restoration, deliberately blending modern comfort with historic preservation, reflects a relatively recent but carefully considered transformation into a small luxury hotel.

The estate's tree-house, while a genuine and unusual addition, is explicitly a minor, standalone offering rather than the property's main accommodation product, which remains the rooms within the château itself.

The château's position just 5 minutes from Rodez and its Gothic cathedral gives guests staying at Labro quick access to one of Aveyron's most significant historic and religious landmarks.
