The Wola Chojnata estate was bought in 1801 by Stanisław Woyczyński and passed through several owners; in 1830 it was sold to Wincenty Rembowski, a former captain of the Polish army, whose will transferred it in 1861 to Józef Wierzbicki. The palace was completed in 1873 in the Neo-Renaissance style and stayed with the Wierzbicki family.

The complex is laid out on an axis running from the entrance gate and a fountain courtyard through the palace, with Neo-Renaissance façades and an Ionic-columned entrance portico, to a terrace opening onto the garden; the English landscape park dates from the early 19th century. In 1931 the Warsaw Land Credit Society put the estate up for auction, and Eleonora Zofia Wierzbicka bought it back into the family; it remained theirs until 1945, when the State Treasury took it over under the agricultural-reform decree.

After the Second World War the palace was adapted as a primary school and teachers' flats; the University of Łódź took it over in 1980 and later passed it on, and the municipality then administered it. The municipal authorities offered the estate for sale in 1989, and in 1995 Krzysztof Malarecki bought it and began a renovation completed in 2005, for which the restored palace received an award from the Minister of Culture and Art and the General Conservator of Monuments. The complex now operates as a hotel with free parking, free Wi-Fi, a wellness area and breakfast included on the rate seen; the room seen is the only one that was available on the dates checked.
